There is something in human nature that inspires us to chase our dreams. We search for happiness in life and spiritual salvation in death. Some of us find it. Some of us lose faith entirely and end up feeling totally lost. Whatever the goal might be, deep down what we really want to achieve is an experience of having truly lived our lives, to connect to forces greater than the business of daily survival.
I seek out those forces through my work. Using a combination of acrylic molding paste, polymer resins, and acrylic color, my paintings are deeply rooted in earth-like textures.My work has a strong connection to archaeology. For me, the process of crafting one of these pieces is like unearthing some relic whose meaning is not yet known but whose power can be felt immediately."
